Мера Риги оштрафували за російську мову
Мера Риги Ніла Ушакова оштрафували на 50 євро за спілкування російською мовою.

Про це він написав на своїй сторінці у Facebook, - повідомляє Українська правда.

Мер зазначив, що його оштрафували за спілкування російською мовою зі школярами.

"На думку Центру державної мови, посадова особа не може відповідати школярам на їхній рідній мові. Навіть під час неформального спілкування. А факт трансляції в Facebook є ще і обтяжливим фактом. Навіть не дивлячись на те, що моя особиста сторінка", – розповів Ушаков.

Мер не погоджується з рішенням Центру і звертатиметься до суду, бо вважає, що Закон про державну мову не поширюється на неформальне спілкування.

Латвія прискіпливо стежить за дотриманням Закону про державну мову.

Наприклад, у 2017 році держпідприємству Латвії виписали штраф через написи російською мовою.

У 2016 році Центр державної мови вирішив покарати Ризьку думу за спілкування в соцмережах російською мовою.

У 2014 році 55 латвійських вчителів оштрафували через незнання державної мови. У 2011 році створювали чорні списки поліцейських, які не знають державної мови.

А у 2010 році латвійську телекомпанію оштрафували за інтерв'ю російською мовою.
